The ever lovely Miss Hathaway confirmed at the Oscars after party program that she will indeed play Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.
It was pretty much no secret that she would be playing Catwoman but it's better to have it confirmed. For me she wasn't an obvious choice. She does have the look (and the looks) and her playful smile and wit would suit Catwoman (Catwoman is after all a mischievous thief) but I wouldn't have gambled on Hathaway being chosen if you have given me a free bet on it last year.
Here's a pretty good video where she tells how she didn't get the callback for Catwoman.
And Selina Kyle as Catwoman in Hush. I can imagine that Nolan will use a similar look to this.
