After Halloween director Rob Zombie swore he would never go back to it as he would have liked the same to have happened to the John Carpenter original. So, a year later he is coming back to make H2 a direct sequel that will follow on from the exact second the 2007 Halloween left of but will not be a remake of the original Halloween 2 movie and is not to be confused with Halloween H20. Confused yet?
Zombies take on Halloween was ill advised at best. He was obviously a fan and took some good moments from it but revealing that cinema's most evil creation was once a chubby little blonde kid and then running with it for almost half the movie took away from the horror element and went more into the psychoanalysis of a serial killer.
Why don't they just leave Halloween alone and move on? People who love old films seem desperate to remake them. Why? If they loved them so much why do the think they can improve on that magic in todays market based cinema world?
