Brad Pitt has been long rumoured for the lead in Max Brooks zombie novel World War Z but has now been confirmed at Comic Con that he will plan the lead.
World War Z is a cult novel follow up to the immensely popular Zombie Survival Guide and is an account of the human/zombie war as told by a human survivor through a series of short tales. Most likely the structure and narrative of the story will need some alteration and i expect some of the rules from Survival Guide to make it in there but it's good to know that this is going forward.
Now let's hope we can get Zombieland II as well eh?
World War Z is pencilled for a 2012 release date.
