Jason Statham is remaking the Charles Bronson thriller The Mechanic first seen in 1972.
Statham, in the lead, plays a hitman ready to quit when a young man begs him to teach him the skills involved in becoming a hired killer. Only thing is that the Mechanic realises that the young man is the son of one of his victims. Does the young man know? Is he getting the Mechanic to train him with intent on killing him afterwards? Oooh the trickery!
I hope this is good. I'm loving Stath's films right now and he's doing the right thing, keeping going with solid actioners. He knows what he is good at, Snatch, Crank, Transporter and the like are all things he excels in and all things people love watching him in.
Diesel and co could take aleaf out of his book i think.
