Now i was a fan of the TV mini series, not because of the shoddy acting of bog standard King plotline but solely for Tim Curry's world class performance as Pennywise the clown, a character engrained in the syche's of everyone from that era.
Singlehandedly responsible for a spate of clown phobias, Curry did for the carnival fools what Speilberg did for pointy toothed fishes.
The remake will have a contemporary setting and i can only hope they don't make pennywise a CGI creation.
For those who aren't familiar with the book it's about a group of kids who are terrorised by Pennywise the clown, after wrecking their childhoow it lies dormant for 25 years after which the now adults must re-unite in their hometown to take on Pennywise again. Only they realise that Pennywise is far more than just a clown.
And they all float down here.....
