After spending the last fifty years in period constumes Keira Knightley is finally returning to roles not aiming for award ceremony glory.
Miss Knightley will star alongside Carey Mulligan in an adaptation of the Kazuo Ishiguro novel "Never Let Me Go" to be directed by Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo) and adapted into screenplay by Alex Garland.
The story is set in a boarding school where three friends realises that they are in fact clones kept for harvesting organ parts who have a very short life span. Most folks will see parrallels with the Ewan McGregor / Scarlett Johansson mess that was The Island but i am assured that the original source material is far more interesting if devoid of action and more to with existentialism.
Sounds like a HOOT!
