Fresh from finishing his latest movie The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, Terry Gilliam has returned the project which he had to abandon, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. Originally shelved back in October 2000, the project spiralled out of control with flash floods, on-set injuries and interference from the Spanish Air Force, after only five days of production.
Gilliam and writing partner Tony Grisoni, endured much legal proceedings in order to get the rights to the script back to them, but both are now well into re-writing it.
Shooting on the movie is expected to begin later in the year.
