Sam Raimi's 4th Spiderman project has hit a snag and been placed on hold. Or it's simply being put on hold for the christmas holidays if you want to believe the studio.
Raimi is apparently at odds with the studio over an unfisnished script that is mainly due to a dissagreement over the main villian of the piece. The studio want the Lizard and Raimi wants, and has wanted since the first picture, a character called the Vulture. The vulture is a much older character who uses an artificial suit to fly and has greatly increased strength and intellect. He is a master inventor and engineer. If you ask me that just sounds like an older version of the Green Goblin. So what is the point?
The studio is quick to dismiss this indefinite hold as hearsay as all projects are normally put on hold over the holidays. If its so normal then why do they feel the need to exert this in print?
Anyway, here is a shot of the vulture.
